Jordan Love reveals his mindset after being drafted as a backup QB to Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay

Jordan Love had the following to say:

That's a dream come true and a blessing just to get there. But my mind immediately went to, 'Okay, Aaron Rodgers is there.' I be watching him my whole life...you know...that's his team. Jordan Love said

He understood for a fact that he was not going to a team that would allow him to fight for the starter’s role immediately.

Jordan Love has had one of the most impressive first-years as a starter in the NFL

In retrospect, Jordan Love could not have asked for a better situation to be put into. The three years he spent watching Aaron Rodgers and taking his advice, has helped him develop as a QB tremendously. In his first year as a starting QB, he managed to have an immediate impact on the team and established himself as the leader of the team. It is now his team, just like how after Brett Favre’s departure, Aaron Rodgers took over, Love has now taken over from him.

Love added:

I'm not coming in and starting right away in this situation. It's going to be a situation where I'm gonna come in and, learn and, you know, develop and be a backup to start and just see what the situation plays out and how it unfolds...(I) right away knew you know, I wasn't coming in to start. Jordan Love’s performance against the Dallas Cowboys will be hard to forget in the distant future. The quarterback believes that this is the year for the Green Bay Packers to win the Super Bowl.
